Meemo’s Farm is looking to add quality professional upland bird guides for the 2022 fall season. We are located in the heart of Central Lower Michigan on 1,500 acres of incredibly diverse forest, meadows, marshland, lakes and ponds.
Meemo’s Farm offers a broad array of wing shooting opportunities, from traditional and no-limit, preserve-style Pheasant, Chukar and Quail walk-up hunts to Continental shoots to excursions into the wilds for ruffed grouse and woodcock.
This is a 7-day per week business with the season commencing August 15th.
The job requires significant walking on varying terrain throughout the day with clients as they hunt our fields. Our days can range from 3-4 hours in the field to as much as 7-8. Other duties include greeting guests and going over safety precautions and hunting guidelines. Assisting other guides as needed as well as various guiding duties.
Position Length
The position runs from August 15th – December 10th, you will be expected to work a minimum of 5 – 6 days per week
Qualifications For Guiding
We’re looking for energetic, motivated, personable individuals with great work ethic and who are avid upland bird hunters. They must have experienced flushing or pointing dogs (our operations can go both ways) or a combination of both. Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock experience is an advantage.
Candidates must have the ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, and holidays. Candidates must have previous experience working with shotguns and be familiar with safety in the field for our clients but as well themselves. Previous guiding experiences are required.
Position
This position reports directly to the Head Guide and will interact daily with other sporting adventures associates.
